Heavy metal pollution is today's most critical pollution element, threatening the atmosphere and health. Lithium (Li), a heavy metal, has recently been extensively used in various industrial areas and poses a risk to environmental health, including human health. It is well-known that heavy metals can be much more harmful when taken into the human tissues via inhalation. Therefore, tracking and decreasing the alteration in Li contamination in the airborne is essential. The current study aimed to define whether Pseudotsuga menziesii and Cedrus atlantica are suitable for monitoring and reducing Li pollution in the air. Within the scope of the study, variations in Li concentration depending on organ, direction, and age range in the last 40 years were evaluated in Pseudotsuga menziesii and Cedrus atlantica species growing in Düzce, Türkiye, which is amongst the 5 most contaminated provinces in Europe. As a result, it was determined that Li pollution in the region was of anthropogenic origin and that both species were suitable for monitoring Li pollution but were not suitable for use in reducing it.

“…Por su parte, Gutierrez y Vilchez (2021) determinaron que en el distrito de Cajamarca en el periodo 2000 -2020 los bosques plantados se incrementaron en 0,006%, por lo que el crecimiento significativo de esta clase en el área de estudio se debe a una intervención focalizada y que ha tenido resultados positivos en términos de incremento de área boscosa. En Turquía Aksoy et al (2022) determinaron que entre los años 2001 a 2021 las masas forestales se incrementaron en 8% producto de la recuperación natural de las zonas degradadas, convirtiendo a la reforestación en una actividad efectiva para la recuperación de la cobertura arbórea. Los cultivos transitorios es una de las coberturas que representa 14,96% para el año 2000, incrementando para el año 2020 en un 4,77%, haciendo un área total de 19,72%; estos incrementos se deben a que la expansión agrícola cada vez es mayor y que su ciclo de producción anual es cada vez disminuye, sus cultivos principales del distrito es la producción de tubérculos, .…”

RESUMENLas actividades naturales y antrópicas causan cambios continuos en la cobertura terrestre, que impactan en la sociedad, clima, biodiversidad, ciclos hidrológicos y ecosistemas. Los datos de sensoramiento remoto representan un componente clave para identificar la variación de los diferentes tipos de coberturas. El objetivo en este trabajo fue analizar el cambio de cobertura y uso de la tierra en el distrito de Chalamarca, durante el período 2000-2020. Se utilizó la metodología Corine Land Cover en los niveles I, II y III mediante el uso de imágenes Landsat en la plataforma Google Earth Engine. Se identificó cambios de cobertura y uso de la tierra en 9 571,58 ha, que representa el 53,82% del área de estudio. Se clasificaron ocho tipos de cobertura vegetal: tejido urbano continuo, cultivos transitorios, pastos, bosque plantado, vegetación herbácea, vegetación arbustiva, afloramientos rocosos y tierra desnuda. Las categorías que mostraron mayor incremento fueron: bosques plantados 2 642,82 ha (14,85%), cultivos transitorios 848,05 ha (4,77%) y pastos 322,20 ha (1,81%). Por el contrario, las clases de cobertura que disminuyeron fueron vegetación herbácea 2 943,94 ha (-16,50%) y arbustal 909,55 ha (-5,55%). La expansión de la frontera agrícola, el sobrepastoreo y el establecimiento de nuevas viviendas son los factores que influyeron en el cambio de cobertura y uso de la tierra en el distrito de Chalamarca en el periodo 2000-2020. En conclusión, se generó un cambio del 53,82% de cambio de cobertura y uso de la tierra en el distrito de Chalamarca durante el periodo 2000-2020.

Cultivated land provides fundamental land-related resources, and its ecological security is, thus, an important means of protecting it. The ecological security of cultivated land has emerged as an important and challenging area of research in recent years. In this study, we summarize the progress in research on the evaluation of the ecological security of cultivated land through visual analysis. We review the concepts, characteristics, driving factors, scales and methods of evaluation, technologies, and simulations used in the relevant literature. The results show that while the relevant concept has been preliminarily established, research on the ecological security of cultivated land remains in its infancy, and comprehensive work on the subject is lacking. The Prevalent research has mainly focused on analyzing the current situation, but lacks a dynamic analysis of the driving mechanism of the ecological security of cultivated land based on simulations. This has made it difficult to understand the spatiotemporal mechanism of the ecological security of cultivated land. Future research in the area should discuss the complex driving mechanism of interactions between the social economy system and the ecological system and focus on an integrated model to assess its dynamic spatial and multi-scale characteristics of ecological security of cultivated land because this can inform the theory of protecting cultivated land and the design of plans for land use to mitigate global climate change.
