Exploration of third order nonlinear optical features of CuO/PVA-PEG polymer nanocomposites

Abstract: CuO/PVA-PEG nanocomposites were prepared by solvent casting method. In XRD spectra, the shifting of peak position and the absence of remaining characteristics peaks of CuO nanoparticles in CuO/PVA-PEG indicates the formation exfoliated nanocomposites. The SEM image reveals the complete dispersion of the nanofillers in polymer matrix. FTIR spectra revealed the formation of strong H-bonds between PVA and PEG during mixing.
