Exploration of advanced cellulosic material for membrane filtration with outstanding antifouling property

Abstract

We revealed that a high electron donor ability (γ−) is the origin of the excellent antifouling properties of cellulose triacetate (CTA); with a view to further improving antifouling properties of CTA, molecular designs to increase γ− are required.
