Exploiting application-level similarity to improve SSD cache performance in Hadoop

Abstract. Electromagnetic Metamaterial (EMM), which cannot be found in nature and possesses the novel electromagnetic properties of negative refraction, reversals of both Doppler shift and Cherenkov radiation, is a kind of artificial composed material. In order to solve the problem of long delay and high packet loss rate, the paper proposed a communication resource management system based on Metamaterials. By using the electromagnetic simulation method, the triple band and tunable transmission/reflection characteristics are investigated. Experiment result shows that the proposed method can improve the performance in the communication resource management.

Abstract. In order to find out the relationship of steel futures price with different manganese content, a local fractional algorithm is proposed in this paper. We use three analytical tools -price discovery analysis, arbitrage analysis and a case study approach to assess the magnitude of price divergence risk and determine the hedging effectiveness of steel billet futures. The results show that the proposed method can thus improve overall system performance substantially.

Abstract. Material science has achieved more and more attention because of its singular response to the electromagnetic wave. A new application oriented talent training mode of material science in colleges and universities is studied in this paper. The new model of cultivating talents is explored, and the practical teaching system of two step education curriculum platforms is used for constructing the model. The investigation result shows that an increased learning for the student whom were more active on the platform independent on their previous performances.
