Stools' donor recruitment, a challenge in pandemic times

“…In this study, less than 1% of candidates for donation (one out of 119) were finally able to end the process. This percentage is lower than that reported for other stool banks (7.1% in Bulgaria and 1.8% [16/871] in the Netherlands) 11,12 and is an important handicap for FMT. Most of the potential donors failed the pre‐screening phase, as they were unable to commit to such a regular donation (5 days per week for 3 weeks consecutively), accounting for 16.0% of the excluded individuals.…”
