Experimental validation of grid algorithms: A comparison of methodologies

Abstract: The increasing complexity of available infrastructures with specific features (caches, hyperthreading, dual core, etc.) or with complex architectures (hierarchical, parallel, distributed, etc.) makes models either extremely difficult to build or intractable.
