Experimental Treatment of the Acute Cardiovascular Toxicity of Caffeine

Abstract: Ventricular ectopia leading to fibrillation accounts for the lethal outcome of caffeine poisoning in anesthetized rats and can be antagonized by treatment with propranolol or verapamil.
