Experimental Study Results Processing Method for the Marine Diesel Engines Vibration Activity Caused by the Cylinder-Piston Group Operations

Olga Afanaseva,
Oleg Bezyukov,
Dmitry Pervukhin
et al.

Abstract: The article discusses the method and results of processing statistical data from an experimental study of vibrations in marine diesel engines caused by the operation of cylinder-piston groups. The results of the application of a ranking method for identifying factors that influence vibration in marine diesel engines are presented to determine the most significant ones. A series of experiments were conducted according to special plans to actively implement the random balance method. This helped to establish the… Show more

“…Energies 2024, 17, x FOR PEER REVIEW 15 of 20 data to provide more accurate and comprehensive information for optimization decisions [28]. In this paper, we employed Algorithm 1 to conduct a cyclical optimization of the integrated energy system, ensuring that the outcomes of each optimization cycle were precise and valid.…”

“…A practical example shows a reduction in the overshoot time. Compared to previously proposed methods [10,23,29,[73][74][75][76][77][78][120][121][122][123][124][125][126][127][128][129][130][131][132][133][134][135][136][137][138][139], the time spent on equalizing the reservoir pressure is reduced by 15%. It is important to note not only the great theoretical significance of the research conducted, but also its real practical application.…”

“…For the complete analysis of the natural gas decompression, the implemented methodology divides the analysis into stages, considering diverse factors in each stage. This work adapts the methodology used by Afanaseva et al [34], whereby in this work the following process is established: • Estimation of general properties: This initial stage involves general property calculations taking into account the influence of natural gas composition. Also, the inlet and outlet pressure and temperature conditions of the station are selected; • Energy analysis: In this stage, mass and energy balances are realized in the equipment to obtain the required heat flows in the heat exchangers.…”
