“…The first variant, known as the chilled ammonia process (CAP), developed by ALSTOM, absorbs CO 2 at a low temperature in the range of (2–10°C). The low temperature minimizes the ammonia slip from the absorber, but facilitates the formation of a solid ammonium carbonate compound .
