Experimental study of stray fields of elastically and inelastically bent steel tubes with hinged ends

Abstract: The tangential and normal components of the stray field of ferromagnetic steel tubes were measured. The distribution of magnetization (averaged over the cross section of the tubes) under elastic and inelastic bending of the tubes in a small geomagnetic field with a small sag increment was determined for tubes with hinged ends.
