“…The adoption of steel CWB for instinctive behavior of the structure has been searched by Sayed-Ahmed (2001) and Jiang et al (2015) respectively. This key feature has been demonstrated in the extensive researches on the performances of structural composite girders with steel CWB , including the flexural capacity (Chan et al, 2002; Chen et al, 2015, 2016; Elgaaly et al, 1997b), shear capacity (Hassanein and Kharoob, 2013, 2014; He et al, 2012), the torsional behavior (Ding et al, 2012; Mo et al, 2000), and the dynamic properties of mentioned beams (Chen et al, 2017; Jiang et al, 2019; Mo et al, 2000, 2003). In the above-reported researches, the load-carrying capabilities and failure types of new generation CWB have been analyzed with fixed boundaries.…”

“…Table 4 tabulates the results of slipping distance from FE analysis and the theoretical analysis. It should be noted that the contributions from the vertical load, the deformation of the column, and rotation behavior of the beam-column core joint are neglected in Equation (16). As listed, the difference between the theoretical value and numerical result for slipping distance is insignificant, with a deviation within 10%.…”

“…To date, scholars from home and abroad have conducted considerable work on the development of new types of beam‐column joints to improve mechanical behavior 9–17 . Research work facilitates the application of prefabricated steel structures and caters to the development trend of earthquake resilience.…”
