Experimental studies of pantograph head suspension equipped with controlled pneumatic elements

Oleg Sidorov,
Aleksandr Smerdin,
Mikhail Mikhailov
et al.

Abstract: The article describes factors which affect the panhead elastic elements performance during their operation. An analysis of these factors shows the need to use elastic elements with a controlled static characteristic at constant stiffness to ensure reliable current collection. The existing controlled pneumatic elements used in the panhead suspension of electric rolling stock are considered. Authors offer to use intra-spring pneumatic elements in panhead suspension. A study of the interaction of a pantograph and… Show more

“…Regulation of static force is carried out by changing the pressure in the lifting rubber-cord element. To regulate the static characteristics of panhead suspension, intra-spring pneumatic elements (ISPE) are used [7], the static characteristics of which change due to changes in pressure in their cavity. In the pantograph, equipped with an ACS for the static force of pantograph frames 1 and static characteristics of panhead suspension, rubber-cord element 2 is used as a lifting element.…”
