Experimental quantum natural gradient optimization in photonics

Abstract: Variational quantum algorithms (VQAs) combining the advantages of parameterized quantum circuits and classical optimizers, promise practical quantum applications in the noisy intermediate-scale quantum era. The performance of VQAs heavily depends on the optimization method.
