“…It was also found that the composite made of the woven braided fabric exhibits better mechanical properties than that of randomly oriented short fibre-reinforced composite. Kumar and Yadav [ 14 ] carried out an experimental investigation on solar-powered composite desiccant cooling system in which the composite desiccant bed heat exchanger was made using iron mesh and jute layer impregnated with calcium chloride solution.…”

“…The effectiveness of DEC unit depends on outlet air conditions SCHE. The average energy cooling capacity of SPDAC is 648.2 W. The cooling capacity of the present system (SDAC) is increased by 83.21% as compared to the solar‐powered composite desiccant cooling system by using composite desiccant “CaCl 2 /jute.” 28 The average energy and exergy COP of the SPDAC are 0.45 and 0.35, respectively. Despite the outlet air condition of SPDAC do not lie in the human comfort zone, the results verify that the SPDAC has a good potential to use it for summer air conditioning.…”

“…The average exergy cooling capacity produced by the heat exchanger and SCHE are 195.8 W and 441.5 W, respectively. The present experimental setup have an improvement of 83.21% in average cooling capacity when compared to the solar‐powered composite desiccant cooling system by using composite desiccant “CaCl2/jute.” 28 The temperature of process air has significant effect on adsorption capacity of desiccant material. The pre‐cooling of process air increased the adsorption capacity of SCHE by 15.3%, which is quite remarkable. It is observed that the SPDAC is more effective in winter season, this is because SCHE batter performance in regeneration process.…”

“…Gadalla and Sagha far [9] proposed three novel two-stage desiccant air conditioning cooling systems and investigated them in hot and humid climates. Kumar and Yadav [10] performed an experimental investigation of the solar-powered desiccant cooling system by using composite desiccant \CaCl 2 /jute". They found that the average dehumidi cation rate increased by 54.1% when using circulating cooling water.…”
