“…The reduction in smoke density and soot density was reported with the use of all biodiesel blends with respect to that of the pure diesel. Shehata and Razak [145] analysed the emission characteristics on a CI engine fuelled with jojoba oil methyl ester blends with diesel. They observed the CO concentration with pure diesel fuel is less than biodiesel blends.…”

“…The EGT of S100 is higher than B20 and diesel due to ignition delay and the incomplete combustion is high viscosity, surface tension and boiling point of the fuel. The S100 (pure sunflower oil) and B20 (20% Jojaba oil þ80%pure diesel by volume) have low heat release rate as it has low heating value and has many double bonds [41]. At low loads, the EGT is less due to the heat release is nearer to Top dead Centre (TDC) but beyond 80% of full load as the heat release is higher than the EGT [48].…”

“…The aromatic and Poly aromatic hydrocarbons which are responsible for high flame temperature was lower for reduced NO x emission. With higher percentage of EGR, NO x concentration is lower due to less oxygen content and cylinder gas temperature [41]. The NO x emission is reduced by 1% in C5 and increased by 2% in P5 as the high saturated fatty acids quickly reacts with N 2 to produce NO x [45].…”

“…Jojoba seed oil content about 40-50% of liquid waxes in the esters form of long chain alcohol and fatty acids (Baud and Lepiniec, 2010;Ashraful et al, 2014). Major fatty acid composition of the seed is oleic, 34.5-66% (Al-Widyan and Mt.A, 2010; Kumar and Sharma, 2011;Shehata and Razek, 2011). Jojoba seed oil is colorless and odorless and is composed mainly of (97%) wax esters of monounsaturated, straight-chain acids, and alcohols with high-molecular weights (C16-C26).…”
