“…Various vehicle safety systems are constantly improved and applied, such as Hill Start Assist (HSA), anti-lock braking systems (ABSs), and automatic mechanical transmission (AMTs) [1], [2]. An automatic mechanical transmission (AMT) is a type of automatic shifting control mechanism based on the original dried frictional flake's clutch and fixed-shaft geared manual transmission to realize automatic operation of transmission selection and shifting [3]. An AMT has the advantages of both an automatic transmission (AT) and manual transmission (MT) in terms of efficiency, cost, simplicity, and ease of manufacture [4].…”

“…The factors influencing the clutch judder, including the internal factors (the friction characteristic, damping and backlash) and the external factors (the engine torque fluctuation and applied oil pressure fluctuation), were studied by Zhang et al, 5 who showed that the clutch judder is dependent on the slope of the friction coefficient, the static friction coefficient, the system damping, the applied oil pressure and the engine torque fluctuation. An experimental evaluation presented for an MPC algorithm controlling the power train dynamics in vehicles with automated manual transmissions was discussed by Amari et al, 6 which enabled online optimization by using suboptimal solutions directly linked to the accelerator pedal position. A modal logic called the logic of intention and attempt was presented by Lorini and Herzig, 7 which provided a formal analysis of the relation between the intention and the action and highlighted the pivotal role of attempt in the action execution.…”
