Experimental data on the assessment of the safety and efficiency of the treatment of rainbow trout <I>Oncorhynchus mykiss</I> (salmoniformes) eggs with iodinol against viruses

Abstract

Experimental work on the disinfection of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) eggs with a working solution of Iodinol (100 mg/l of active iodine) during fertilization, at the activation stage (instead of water or an activator), and subsequent swelling in a fresh solution of Iodinal for 30 minutes, does not result to increase the waste of eggs, larvae and juveniles grown in aquaculture for 3 months. The high efficiency of using the working solution of iodinol (100 mg/ml of active iodine) for the treatment of fertilized trout eggs experimentally infected with three fish viruses was shown.
