Experimental Data and Thermodynamics Modeling (PC-SAFT EoS) of the {CO2 + Acetone + Pluronic F-127} System at High Pressures

Abstract: In this study, we reported data of phase equilibria of the ternary {CO2 (1) + acetone (2) + pluronic F-127 (3)} system using the static synthetic method with a visual cell at temperatures ranging from 303 to 323 K, pressures near to 10 MPa, two concentrations of pluronic F-127 in acetone (0.01 g·cm–3 and 0.02 g·cm–3), and molar fractions varying between 0.3 to 0.9. The thermodynamic modeling using the perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory equation of state (PC-SAFT EoS) was capable of describing… Show more

“…However, the pressures required for solubilization of the system exceeded 35 MPa, which is the limit of operation of the experimental apparatus. Figure 5 presents a comparison between a binary {CO 2 (1) + acetone (2)} system reported in the literature 41 and the ternary systems studied in this work.…”

“…Nesse estado ocorre a formação de uma névoa densa, na qual as fases líquidas e gasosas não podem ser distinguidas. Esta fase possui características intermediárias entre líquido e gás: alta permeabilidade como a dos gases, densidade e poder de solvatação dos líquidos (Brunner, 2009;Ferreira-Pinto et al, 2019;McHugh & Krukonis, 2013).…”
