Abstract:A monocarbonyl analog of curcumin, (2E,5E)-2,5-bis(2-methoxybenzylidene)-cyclopentanone (B2MBCP), was prepared and characterized via spectroscopic methods (NMR, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and MS).
