Experimental and Theoretical Studies of the Corrosion Inhibition of 4-amino-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-8-(2, 3-dimethoxyphenyl)-6-oxo-2, 6-dihydropyrimido [2, 1-b][1, 3] thiazine-3,7-dicarbonitrile on Carbon Steel in a 1.0 M HCl Solution

Abstract: The corrosion inhibition of carbon steel in a 1.0 M HCl solution, using 4-amino-2-(4 chlorophenyl)-8-(2,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-6-oxo-2,6-dihydropyrimido [2,1b][1,3]thiazine-3,7-dicarbonitrile (ACMPT) was investigated by weight loss, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and quantum chemical calculations.
