To enhance the vibration system characteristic distortion and pressure loss, we propose a novel rotary valve control vibration system. The paper presents the designed structural composition and generation mechanism of the rotary valve control vibration system. It also derives the mathematical model for the rotary valve distribution process and the overall system. The flow field inside the rotary valve is dynamically simulated using the multiple reference frame model, allowing for the determination of the change rule of the rotary valve’s output characteristics. An AMESim model was developed to analyze the vibration characteristics of the rotary valve control system. The effects of parameters such as inlet pressure, motor speed, and oil supply pump displacement were investigated. A rotary valve control vibration system experimental bench was constructed to experimentally verify the output characteristics of the rotary valve and the vibration characteristics of the system. The results indicate that the characteristic curve of the designed vibration system closely resembles a sinusoidal wave. Additionally, the rotary valve exhibits low pressure loss, making it more suitable for vibration stress relief applications. By appropriately increasing the inlet pressure and decreasing the motor speed, the vibration characteristics of the system can be improved.

Taking advantage of the superiority of valve controlled electro-hydraulic excitation system with wide vibration frequency and adjustable amplitude, a rotary valve controlled electro-hydraulic excitation system is proposed. The structural composition of system and the excitation principle of alternating flow distribution due to rotary valve are formulated. The system mathematical model is derived and a simulation model is constructed based on Matlab/Simulink, and the accuracy of the simulation model is verified by prototype experiments. In accordance with this model, the influence law of main structural parameters of rotary valve and excitation hydraulic cylinder on the vibration characteristics of electrohydraulic excitation system are indicated. The results reveal that the system vibration waveform obtained from model simulation and prototype experiment are almost identical with only 8.97% error. The effective length of spool groove and the spool radius increased, the system vibration displacement improved. The number of oil grooves increased, the system vibration frequency expanded. With the increase of the spool radius, the vibration displacement of the system increases greatly and the vibration characteristics of the system has affected significantly. The effective working area of hydraulic cylinder piston and equivalent mass increased, the system vibration displacement decreased. The vibration characteristics of the system have remarkable adjustability and prominent working output characteristics.

To study instability in the unsteady cavitating flow in a liquid rocket engine inducer, visualization experiments of non-cavitating and cavitating flows inside a model inducer were carried out at different flow conditions. Visual experiments were carried out to capture the evolution of non-cavitating and cavitating flows in a three-bladed inducer by using a high-speed camera. The external characteristic performance, cavitation performance, and pressure pulsation were analyzed based on the observation of non-cavitation and cavitation development and their instabilities. Under non-cavitation conditions, the change of flow rate has a significant impact on the pressure pulsation characteristics in the inducer. The occurrence of cavitation aggravated the instability of the flow and caused the intensity of pressure pulsation at each measuring point to increase. This cavitation structure has strong instability, and the tail region is often accompanied by shedding cavitation clouds perpendicular to the blade surface.
