Experimental and Numerical Research in Flow Field of Low Speed Axial Fan with Forward-Skewed Rotor Blades

Abstract: By experiment and computation, a radial impeller and a forward-skewed impeller are studied in interal flow filed. Detailed flow measurement and computation was performed at outlet flow field. The results show compared with radial rotor blade, the forward rotor blade can cause a spanwise redistribution of flow toward the blade mid-span and reduce tip loading.
