The high-resolution XPS spectra of W 4f show two distinct peaks emerged around 35.45 and 37.58 eV along with a very weak peak of about 41.31 eV corresponding to the spin–orbit splitting of W 4f 7/2 , W 4f 5/2 , and W 5p 3/2 for the W 6+ oxidation state, respectively .
