“…In terms of comparative efficacy, MC has been found to be significantly superior to didactic lectures (Miller et al, 1970;Wallace et al, 1975), with two exceptions (Shoemaker, 1973;Thielen, 1971). The negative results may be attributable to the fact that Shoemaker (1973) dealt with college undergraduates rather than counselor trainees and Thielen (1971) taught relatively basic discrimination skills, whereas Miller et al, (1970) and Wallace et al (1975) assessed more complex communication and decision-making skills with graduate counselor trainees.…”
