“…Varus neck angulation has also been a problem with the use of conventional nails [17]. In our cases the use of the proximal locking option with the spiral blade provided good alignment and skeletal stability and it was found easy to use, in contrast with other reports of reconstruction nailing where problems with locking into the femoral neck have been encountered [3].
