Violence against children can cause psychological problems such as post-traumatic syndrome disorder (PTSD). The negative impact of violence on children is psychological and physical problems and risk of suicide. Nurses have a role to provide comprehensive nursing care such as cognitive behavior therapy for reducing PTSD symptoms. The purpose of this study was to describe the methods of cognitive behavior therapy to reduce symptoms of PTSD in children who are victims of violence. This study used the scoping review method. The databases use for the literature review in this study were CINAHL, PubMed, and Scopus. The keywords used in English were “cognitive behavioral therapy OR CBT” AND “violence OR abuse” AND “post-traumatic stress disorder OR PTSD” AND “child OR children”. The inclusion criteria were full text, randomized control trial or quasi-experimental research design, English language, the sample was children, and the publication period was for the last 10 years (2013–2022). We found 10 articles discussing CBT intervention on children who experienced victim abuse to reduce symptoms of PTSD. Most of the articles in this study used randomized control trial design. Several samples in this study are from the USA. The total sample was 47–320 respondents. This study showed three methods of CBT, namely psychoeducation, self-management, and coping strategies. CBT interventions can be carried out face-to-face or online. The activities carried out by the participants were relaxing, participating in training, counseling, problem-solving discussions, and therapy to improve sleep quality. Cognitive behavioral therapy is an intervention that can be carried out to reduce the traumatic impact on child victims of violence by taking into account the characteristics and development of the children.

The incidents of bullying on students have increased every year. The negative impacts of bullying are physical problems, psychological problems such as depression and anxiety, and even risk of suicide. Interventions by online to reduce the negative impact of bullying are more effective and efficient. The aim of this study is to explore method of online-based nursing intervention on students for reducing the negative impact of bullying. This study used a scoping review method. The literature from three databases were PubMed, CINAHL, and Scopus. PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews was used for search strategy and we used keywords were “nursing care OR nursing intervention” AND “bullying OR victimization” AND “online OR digital” AND “student”. The inclusion criteria for articles were primary research, the design of articles are randomized control trial or quasi-experimental, samples were students, and the setting time of publication is last 10 years (2013–2022). We found 686 articles based on initial research, after elimination based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and found 10 articles discussing about online-based interventions by nurses on students for reducing the negative effects of bullying. The range of respondents in this study is 31–2771 respondents. The method used for the online-based nursing intervention were improving students’ skills, increasing social skills, and counseling. The types of media used are videos, audio, modules, and online discussions. Online interventions were effective and efficient so that they are easily accessible to participants, however, it causes difficulties for participants to access interventions due to internet network disruptions. The potential of online-based nursing interventions is effective to reduce the negative impact of bullying with give full attention in physical, psychological, spiritual, and cultural aspect.

The aim of this article is to provide a detailed characterization of the spirituality in cancer patients. The great importance of this area, both for theoreticians and practitioners, results from patients' search for meaning in the experience of illness and the need to cope with it on various levels (including emotional). At the very beginning, the complexity of the described phenomenon was signaled and two components of spirituality in the context of the disease were presented: cognitive and emotional. Then, terminological inaccuracies related to the definition of spirituality and religiosity faced not only by researchers, but also by patients themselves were discussed. Next, research on the correlates of spirituality in cancer patients was reviewed. The results of many studies on its relationship with the mental health of patients were presented. Potential mechanisms of the positive impact of spirituality on this sphere, discussed in the scientific literature, were presented: self-regulation, giving new meaning to experiences and religious coping. The relationship between spirituality and the demoralization syndrome and the regulation of desired and undesirable emotions is discussed. Threats related to spirituality and mental health were also indicated. The purpose of this article was also to discuss the relationship between spirituality and physical health, which is much less frequently analyzed by researchers. The results in this area are ambiguous. Research on spirituality and quality of life of cancer patients was also reviewed. Both results indicating a positive relationship between spirituality and quality of life, as well as those proving a different outcome, were presented. Attention was paid to the importance of this relationship in patients at the end of life who often experience spiritual pain. Then, barriers related to raising spiritual issues in the patient-medical staff dyad were identified. The article also addresses the complex issue of spirituality in relation to cancer survivors. Finally, the results of research on the importance of spirituality among informal caregivers of cancer patients are presented. As in the case of patients, positive and negative aspects in this area were indicated.
