Abstract: Bacterial infections are a common mode of failure for medical implants. This study aims to develop antibacterial polyelectrolyte multilayer (PEM) coatings that contain a plant-derived condensed tannin polymer (Tanfloc, TAN) with inherent antimicrobial activity.
