Abstract:Left ventricular (LV) remodeling is a dynamic process which is characterized by abnormal LV wall thickness and altered myocardial geometry, and it is considered as a negative prognostic factor in both heart failure with reduced eject fraction (HFrEF) and heart failure with preserved eject fraction (HFpEF). Hypertension, type 2 diabetes (T2D) and obesity are strongly correlated with the development and the progression of LV remodeling, LV hypertrophy and LV systolic and/or diastolic dysfunction. Indeed, the ben… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
