Excited states in the neutron-rich nucleus F25

Abstract: The structure of the nucleus 25 9 F was investigated through in-beam γ -ray spectroscopy of the fragmentation of 26 Ne and 27,28 Na ion beams. Based on the particle-γ and particle-γ γ coincidence data, a level scheme was constructed and compared with shell model and coupled-cluster calculations. Some of the observed states were interpreted as quasi-single-particle states built on top of the closed-shell nucleus 24 O, while the others were described as states arising from coupling of a single proton to the 2 + … Show more

“…The unbound states above S n = 4270(100) keV were obtained in the present work, while the bound states were studied in Ref. [55]. Gray rectangles shown in the experimental spectrum and in the IM-SRG predictions, with a J π -dependent horizontal widths, correspond to uncertainties on the energy centroids of the states.…”

“…The recent experimental results of 24 F have been theoretically interpreted with IM-SRG in Ref. [8] and a coupled-cluster interpretation has been presented for recently populated levels in 25 F [9]. In all these papers, the focus was on the spectroscopy of p and sd shell nuclei.…”
