“…-The maximum measured value for the cross section in the studied energy range is about 170 mb at E p ≈ 26 MeV. -There is a good agreement within the experimental uncertainty between this study and the previously published cross sections [9,28,29] and the data recommended by the IAEA [13] over the whole energy range. This good agreement with the recommended values adds reliability to our measurement techniques.…”

“…The contribution of the reaction 58 Fe( p, n) is weak enough to be neglected due to the low value of 58 Fe abundance (0.29%), also the maximum cross section value for the production of 58 Co from the natural iron at E p = 12.3 MeV is as low as 2.3 mb [26,27], compared to 80 mb of the total cross section predicted by theoretical calculations. The 60 Ni( p, 2 pn), E th = 20.3 MeV nuclear reaction has a relatively low cross section value of 8.3 mb compared with σ = 500 mb for the nat Co( p, pn + d) 58 Co reaction predicted by the ALICE-IPPE code calculation [28]; thus the contribution of this reaction can be disregarded. The abundances for the isotopes 61 , αn).…”

“…6 up to the starting energy of the 70 Zn( p, 3n) 68 Ga reaction (E thr = 19.68 MeV). The cross section data of Al-Saleh et al [7] seem to be shifted by 1 MeV towards higher energy direction. Additionally their lowest energy point is extremely high (around 209 mb at 3.7 MeV).…”

“…6. Since that evaluation work, only Al-Saleh et al (2007) [7] reported new values for this reaction using natural zinc as target. Their reported data were converted by us to 100% 68 Zn enrichment level, and the values are reproduced in Fig.…”
