“…Greenhouse is the most suitable facility for continuous growth of tomatoes because of its precise regulation of the condition of water, heat, and fertilizer. To achieve a higher yield, tomatoes are generally cultivated with a greater degree of management, larger input of nutrients, and more precise irrigation, especially in China, where smallholder farms dominate. Based on the principle of diminishing returns, continuous application of fertilizers hardly improved the yields and nutrient use efficiency of tomato, but caused a series of environmental pollution stemming from the leaching, runoff, and volatilization of excessive nutrients . Therefore, novel nonfertilization measures to promote tomato production as well as to ensure farmers’ income are critical for the development of sustainable agriculture.…”

Scientific studies [9,13,20] show that a high value of electrical conductivity, leads to the need for a smaller quantity of fertilizers but a greater amount of pesticides for weed control. In the case of the analyzed samples, the highest value of the conductivity (807µS / cm) was obtained for agricultural soil, taken in November before the vegetation.…”
