Laburpena:Harriaren portaera artezketa eragiketan, hein handi batean, bere egitura granularraren naturatik datorkio. Gaur egungo harriak aglomeratzaileak batzen dituen ale urratzaile gogorrez osatutako diseinuzko konglomeratu porotsuak dira. Alearen ezaugarriek, aglomeratzailearen erresistentziak eta, poroekin batera, hiruren arteko proportzioak harriaren izaera baldintzatzen dute. Ekoizpen prozesua erdi-sekretua izan ohi da, ekoizlearen urteetako esperientziaren emaitza. Harriaren propietate mekanikoak, diseinuzko material izaki, aurrez ezagutu ahal izan beharko lirateke. Hala ere, bere natura heterogeneo konplexuak modelizazioa zailtzen du. Berriki, elementu diskretuen metodoa aplikatu da harriaren portaera simulatzeko. Lan honetan eredua eraikitzeko prozedura berria aurkezten da. Abstract:The behaviour of the wheel when grinding stems in a way from the nature of its granular structure. Current grinding wheels are porous conglomerates of hard abrasive grains bonded by the formed by the binder. Abrasive flow machining (AFM) is a unique machining method used to achieve high surface quality on inner, difficult-to-access contours and on outside edges. Using AFM, it is possible to deburr complex shaped intersecting holes and to realize pre-defined edge rounding on any brittle or hard material. Moreover it is easy to integrate into an automated manufacturing environment. Reproducibility of results saves various time and cost consuming manual operations in industrial applications. However for an implementation in new applications costly and time-consuming preliminary investigations are required that have to be carried out by trained staff. Therefore the aim of recent research activities is to identify the fundamentals of the process, the functional correlations between setting parameters and work results. This paper presents an approach using a numerical simulation to develop a process model. Furthermore a model is introduced that describes the fundamental principles of the deburring process using AFM.

Abstract. This paper presents some research results of the application of finite element method and molecular dynamics in the simulation of grinding surface creation. The comparison of these two methods shows that both methods could illustrate the material removal phenomena and provide useful information of grinding mechanics, but they have different feasible application arranges depending on the level of size scales. The investigation demonstrated that rubbing hypothesis of grinding material removal mechanism is valid at all size level even down to nanometre level. Further investigation areas are identified in the paper.
