Evolutionary Genetic Analysis of the cytochrome b gene variation in the Salmo trutta fario with other salmons

Abstract: PCR amplification and direct sequencing of regions of the cytochrome b mitochondrial genes was carried out on Iranian populations of the salmo trutta fario species. Samples of salmo trutta fario were also examined and used as an out group in the phylogenetic analysis. Results based on 1192 bp indicated differentiation between fario morphs from Iran and other salmonids also Iran and other country had collected. Despite the large phenotypic differences within salmonids, very low genetic variation was found. On t… Show more

“…(Accession number, JN241634.1), containing, five exons and six introns in the length. (Rezaei and Akhshabi, 2011 a and b;Rezaei and Akhshabi, 2012). The result of sequence in Salmo Salar (Johansen et al, 1989), however there were not report regards sequence of GH gene in S. t. fario, but also we can conclude the variation is low between S. t. fario , S. Salar and S. t. Caspius, because the result of mitochondrial DNA that related to maternal traits had been high homology between salmonids.…”

“…GH gene in bovine changed a single nucleotide polymorphism in fifth exon (Lucy et al, 1991;Zhang et al, 1992;Yao et al, 1996). The many genes were used for polymorphism of salmonids, mitochondrial DNA has been studied extensively in numerous fish species by restriction site analysis of the entire mitochondrial genome or by 'micro restriction' mapping and direct sequencing of the selectively amplified genes (Beckenbach, 1991;Bernatchez et al, 1992;Whitmore et al, 1992;Ovenden et al, 1993), that used some genes for this means, including, cytochrome b gene in salmo treutta fario (Rezaei and Akhshabi, 2012), cytochrome b in salmo trutta caspius (Jamshidi and Kalbasi, 2009), and other genes in mitochondrial DNA. The mitochondrial DNA more inherited maternal traits than paternal traits, but in GH gene more inherited paternal trait on the nuclear DNA genomics.…”
