Abstract:Human adenovirus (HAdV) infection in newborns is a rare condition that typically affects multiple organ systems and has a high mortality rate. We report a case of neonatal HAdV-D37 infection that presented with fever and respiratory distress that was confirmed by metagenomic next-generation sequencing using blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.
