Abstract: The Weather Research and Forecasting model was applied in a nested configuration from the convection‐permitting resolution of 2.5 km, via an intermediate resolution of 500 m down to the 100 m turbulence‐permitting scale to investigate the spatial and temporal evolution of the convective boundary layer and their interaction with the underlying land surface.
