Abstract: The chapter describes the mode, time, and place of origin of the allopolyploids of the genus Triticum. In addition, genetic and epigenetic changes due to allopolyploidization that brought about to cytological diploidization (exclusive homologous chromosome pairing), are discussed within the chapter.
