That is, the changes found in our case are of the sclopetaria type, characterized by retraction of tissues (choroid and retina), exposure of the sclera and absence of retinal detachment, were in contradistinction to the pattern of vitreous base disinsertion, retinal dialysis 6 and/or ‘choroidal rupture’ that is commonly seen with the anteroposterior compression associated with injuries such as those caused by champagne corks.…”
