“…Namazov et al [42] assessed preoperative and postoperative digestive symptoms using validated questionnaires in a cohort of 1497 women undergoing surgery for endometriosis, 764 of whom had procedures involving the bowel (42% shaving, 20% disc excision, and 38% segmental resection). The patients who underwent bowel surgery had the most severe baseline gastrointestinal symptoms and experienced the most significant improvement in these symptoms at 1 year postoperatively compared to those patients with superficial endometriosis or deep endometriosis sparing the bowel.…”
