Abstract: Thetfd(tfdIandtfdII) are gene clusters originally discovered in plasmid pJP4 which is involved in the bacterial degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) via the ortho-cleavage pathway of chlorinated catechols.
