Show more

“…Regarding the results obtained in the second hypothesis, in line with previous studies, girls score higher on prosocial behaviour and empathy (Sánchez-Queija, Oliva, & Parra, 2006) and on negative emotions (Gómez-Maquet, 2007), and they express more emotions than boys (Alcalá et al, 2006). Girls are more prone to expressing higher levels of happiness, sadness and fear (hypothesis 2a), while boys are more prone to expressing anger (Grossman & Wood, 1993;Marrero, Carballeira, & González, 2014;hypothesis 2b), although this information does not match other studies which claim that boys present more positive affects than girls (Noronha et al, 2014;Segabinazi et al, 2012).…”

“…Table 1 presents the mean and standard deviation in IQ variables, age, years of education, the performances in scores of Rasch memory and Rasch copy of BVRT, and the Rasch score equivalent to a standardized score, with M = 0 and DP = 1 (for more information about the Rasch score was obtained, see Segabinazi et al, 2014). Significant differences were found among the four groups, F (12, 1734) = 65.25, p < .…”

“…In this study, the reliability (α) of Administration A (Memory) and Administration C (Form D) were .70 and form .72 respectively. The variable included in the model was a Rasch Score from Administration A (Memory) and Administration C (Copy) provided by previous studies (Segabinazi et al, 2014).…”
