Evidence of Dissemination of Triops cancriformis mauritanicus Ghigi, 1921 (Branchiopoda, Notostraca) cysts by the red swamp crayfish, Procambarus clarkii (Girard, 1852) (Decapoda, Cambaridae)

Abstract: The role of the red swamp crayfish, Procambarus clarkii (Girard, 1852) as a disseminating agent of Triops cancriformis mauritanicus Ghigi, 1921 cysts is documented in a temporary freshwater pond in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula. RESUMENEn este artículo se documenta el papel del cangrejo rojo americano Procambarus clarkii (Girard, 1852), como agente diseminador de quistes de Triops cancriformis mauritanicus Ghigi, 1921 en una charca temporal del suroeste de la Península Ibérica.
