Evidence for Precursors of the Coronal Hole Jets in Solar Bright Points

Abstract: A set of 23 observations of coronal jet events that occurred in coronal bright points has been analyzed. The focus was on the temporal evolution of the mean brightness before and during coronal jet events. In the absolute majority of the cases either single or recurrent coronal jets were preceded by slight precursor disturbances observed in the mean intensity curves. The key conclusion is that we were able to detect quasi-periodical oscillations with characteristic periods from sub-minute up to 3-4 min values … Show more

“…A first significant finding is the observation of pre-jet activity, in particular in the form of oscillatory behaviour. The pre-jet activity of quiet-region jets observed in the hot AIA filters has been studied previously (Bagashvili et al 2018). The jets originated in coronal bright points, and the bright points showed oscillatory behaviour before the onset of jet activity.…”

“…The observation of reconnection jets 21,24 provided motivation for carrying out the experimental setup of the present study to shed light on a possible mechanism for the creation of solar jets. The main actor in this regard is the Alfvén wave where the domain under consideration is a magnetic reconnection site 25 .…”
