Search for an enhanced production of low energy pions in C(p, π+)X, Cu(p, π+)X, and Cu(p, π∘)X reactions for 300 MeV≦Tp≦400 MeV

The energy variation of R, the ratio of lower energy part to higher energy part of the pion yields, has been reported [2,3]. This ratio has the advantage to be independent of the beam monitoring, the solid angle determination and the detector efficiencies.…”
