Abstract: ÖZ ABSTRACTMucositis is the inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes in the oral and/or gastrointestinal tracts. Mucositis can increase the length of hospital stays, the risk of infection, and the need for total parenteral nutrition and opioid analgesics, which can all affect a patient's quality of life negatively.
