Everyday Life Attention Scale (ELAS): Normative data of n = 1,874 Dutch participants

Abstract: The Everyday Life Attention Scale (ELAS) is a sensitive and reliable self-report questionnaire assessing attentional capacities of respondents in nine different situations of daily life. The ELAS has the potential to add relevant information to the clinical evaluation of attention deficits, to guide treatment planning, as well as to evaluate treatment outcome. The present study provides normative data of 1,874 Dutch speaking participants, ranging from 18 to 76 years of age, with mixed levels of education and a… Show more

“…"The rare and spectacular poltergeist events, or so-called recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis (RSPK), which in the magnitude of their effects, and in the demonstrated correlations with neurologically extraordinary adolescents, seem to offer rich, yet largely unutilized opportunities for insight (Jahn 1979)". To foster possible future analyses of the connection that may reside between a neurological state and a psi manifestation and to deduce any neurofeedback mechanism that may correlate with psi, it becomes imperative to define a variable quantity that is uniquely determined by the mind or associated with a specific state of the mind (Fuermaier, Groen et al 2019, McGough, Sturm et al 2019. In terms of facilitating analyses, it will not be undesirable to have treatments with respect to this new variable to function at the level in par with those performed with respect to time-a dimension that conceptually has a smaller number of freedom than the dimension of space.…”

“…Recent werden normgegevens gepubliceerd van een grote groep (n = 1.874) Nederlandstalige deelnemers in de leeftijd van 18 t/m 76 jaar, met een gelijke verdeling van opleidingsniveau en geslacht [10]. Voor het bere-kenen van de normscore is via de auteurs van dit artikel een Excel-bestand beschikbaar, dat na het invoeren van de ruwe vragenlijstscores de normscores overzichtelijk weergeeft (zie fig.…”
