Evaluation the Corrosion of Mild Steel Rings in Simulated Conditions of Natural Gas Transportation

Abstract: Corrosion of steel rings (steel tubes) under natural gas production conditions has been studied in a 2 L glass autoclave. Steel tubes, axially constructed with cavities of aspect ratios 3×1 mm, were exposed to CO 2 saturated chloride salt solutions in a glass autoclave for 4 days at a flow rate of 6m/s and CO 2 flow of 5 bar.
