Abstract:Excessive blood loss in the pre-hospital setting poses a significant challenge and is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. In response, emergency medical services (EMS) have increasingly adopted the use of tranexamic acid (TXA) and calcium chloride (CaCl2) as therapeutic interventions for hemorrhagic traumas.
