Evaluation of Toxoplasma gondii B1 gene in Placental Tissues of Pregnant Women with Acute Toxoplasmosis

Abstract: Background:One of the consequences of toxoplasmosis is the risk of passing it from mother to fetus and the onset of congenital toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the B1 gene of Toxoplasma gondii in the placental tissues of pregnant women with acute toxoplasmosis.Materials and Methods:The study was a cross-sectional study. Serum samples of pregnant women who attended to Fatemieh Hospital of Hamadan University of Medical Sciences were tested for immunoglobulin G (IgG) antib… Show more

“…The transcription factor NF-κB controls a number of genes involved in inflammation. 10,14,78 In comparison with pNF-κB, Aziz et al 58 found that ECs and perivascular infiltrating inflammatory cells had greater amounts of NF-κB and IB. pNF-κB was mostly found in the nuclei of invading inflammatory cells and ECs.…”

“…In both untreated and treated CAVM patients, the AG genotype of the TNF‐α‐238 G>A SNP was linked to a greater risk of ICH. The transcription factor NF‐κB controls a number of genes involved in inflammation 10,14,78 . In comparison with pNF‐κB, Aziz et al 58 found that ECs and perivascular infiltrating inflammatory cells had greater amounts of NF‐κB and IB.…”

“…Both injecting sensitive laboratory animals with the parasites and cultivating them on living tissue are labor-intensive and insensitive ways for nding parasites in the blood. As a result, today's parasite detection in biological products uses the highly sensitive and speci c PCR approach [17]. This study's objectives are to identify the T. gondii parasite using Nested-PCR tests in the blood of individuals with chronic renal failure and to assess their genetic diversity through sequencing.…”
