Abstract:Paper was devoted to introduction of various methods regarding the possibilities of optimization of gear wheel body shape. Evaluation was done by a finite element analysis, which gave a deformation results of a gearing, and also by comparison of weight loss. This optimization was performed by modeling 5 models of gear wheel bodies of which, one was reference one and other four had relieve elements modeled.
