Abstract:Thymidylate synthase (TS), a key enzyme in DNA synthesis, is over-expressed in a variety of cancer cells. 5-Fluorouracil, an anticancer agent clinically used against various cancers, including prostate cancer, inhibits DNA synthesis by binding TS.
